PRESS RELEASE
LIBERTARIAN U.S. SENATE CANDIDATE BUCKLEY SAYS HE’S THE BEST CANDIDATE FOR THE TIMES
Atlanta, Georgia – September 19, 2008
From the bail-out of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to, as the U.S. GAO says, “deficits spiraling out of control,” current news has one common theme: the United States has significant financial problems.
The stock market lost more than 500 points on Monday-about 4 percent of its value, and then lost another 4 percent on Wednesday. Clearly, the economic foundation is shaking.
Long-term, the GAO sees $52.7 trillion of debts and unfunded federal retirement liabilities. GAO also said the combined net worth of all Americans is $58.6 trillion.
Allen Buckley, the Libertarian Party’s U.S. Senate candidate is an attorney who has an LL.M. (master’s degree) in taxation. Also, he is a certified public accountant (CPA). He also passed the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam. A significant portion of the CMA exam covers finance and economics.
Buckley said: “The times demand a fiscal conservative who is energetic and knowledgeable about taxes, finance and economics. Of the three candidates in the U.S. Senate race, I’m clearly the one best suited to deal with the problems.”
