LIBERTARIAN PARTY’S U.S. SENATE CANDIDATE BUCKLEY SAYS HE’LL ISSUE ENDORSEMENT COMMITMENT LIST TO CHAMBLISS AND MARTIN

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, November 6, 2008

Allen Buckley, the Libertarian Party’s U.S. Senate candidate in the 2008 Georgia U.S. Senate race, has announced that in connection with the run-off, he’ll issue a commitment statement to both the Chambliss and Martin campaigns. If one of the two men but not both are willing to make the commitment, Buckley will endorse the one who agrees. If both agree or neither agrees, Buckley will reanalyze the situation.

The statement will emphasize financial responsibility. Buckley said: “Jim Martin has already called me about a possible endorsement. The commitment list will be short and concise. With one possible exception, all of the things on the list will relate to my campaign positions.”
